The characteristics of the membrane switch panel:

1. Good weather resistance: the Control Panel 's surface layer of the membrane switches exposed in the natural environment, those demands material should be able to be in a certain natural environment conditions, without deformation, cracking, aging and color change.

2. Good dimensional stability: the membrane switches  requires the film of the panel to be made, and there is no significant change in the size within a certain temperature range (generally -40℃~55℃).

3. Elastic requirements: the panel layer is required to be thin and have a certain weak performance. At the same time, the elastic deformation of the membrane switch should be small, which can be judged by the elongation of the material.

4. Good appearance: the film surface of the panel is smooth and glossy, without mechanical damage, scratches, inclusions and spots and other surface defects.

5. Good chemical resistance: the panel layer will have the possibility to touch different chemicals, but for most of the common chemicals, such as alcohols, ethers, mineral oils should have a certain degree of tolerance.

Membrane switch is an operating system which integrates key function, indicator element and instrument panel.It consists of four parts: graphic layers, adhesive layers, circuit layers and many others.Press the membrane switch, the contact of the upper circuit deforms downward and contacts with the electrode plate of the lower circuit. After the finger is released, the contact of the upper circuit rebounds back, the circuit is disconnected, and a signal is triggered in the loop.

Widely used in electronic communication, electronic measuring instruments, industrial control, medical equipment, automotive industry, intelligent toys, household appliances and other fields.The film of the circuit layer in the membrane switches, considering the separation of the switch shock, the rebound and the reliability of the lead to the connector insertion or riveting, so the thickness of the circuit material should be selected between 0.125mm and 0.15mm. 

If it is too thin, there is no rebound force, the separation of the contact is not agile, too thick, the action is slow, and the operation strength is increased.From the specific situation, the choice of film thickness is also related to the following factors:

1. Thickness of isolation layer.

2, the key shape of the bond.

3, the key size of the bond.

Therefore, the material selection of the membrane switches circuit layer of 0.125mm thickness is appropriate.
